Minimum Requirements

• An ABET Level 04 qualification or equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic maintenance, including plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work.
• Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards.
• Knowledge of the National Building Regulations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Addressing minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry issues.
• Conducting inspections inside and outside the building and reporting findings to the supervisor.
• Assisting in the development of building maintenance schedules.
• Logging maintenance calls for necessary repairs.
• Assisting with installations that require wall mounting, including assisting with 71 installations.
• Repairing broken equipment.
• Ensuring the safekeeping of maintenance tools and equipment.
• Conducting monthly stocktaking of maintenance supplies and submitting reports.
• Performing monthly OHS inspections and reporting results to the supervisor.
• Supporting OHS compliance in the building through maintenance assistance.
• Monitoring contractors on site to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
