Available Positions and Locations
merSETA is recruiting 16 Client Liaison Administrators at Salary Level B5: R28,039.77 per month. These are fixed-term contracts for six months. The positions are distributed as follows:
- Eastern Cape Regional Office: 1 position (Ref: CLA/EC/05/03/2026)
- Free State Regional Office: 1 position (Ref: CLA/FS/05/03/2026)
- Gauteng North Regional Office: 1 position (Ref: CLA/GN/05/03/2026)
- Gauteng South Regional Office (A & B): 6 positions (Ref: CLA/GSA/05/03/2026)
- KwaZulu Natal Regional Office: 1 position (Ref: CLA/KN/05/03/2026)
- Mpumalanga Regional Office: 3 positions (Ref: CLA/MP/05/03/2026)
- Western Cape Regional Office: 3 positions (Ref: CLA/WC/05/03/2026)
These positions provide regional administrative support to ensure skills development initiatives are effectively facilitated in all merSETA regions.
Purpose of the Role
The Client Liaison Administrator is responsible for providing efficient, professional, and comprehensive administrative support to regional offices, central liaison units, managers, and stakeholders. The role is pivotal in ensuring that merSETA’s training and development programs are executed effectively and that stakeholders receive timely assistance.
Key objectives include:
- Accurate record management for easy accessibility and comprehensiveness.
- Professional handling of stakeholder queries with timely and amiable resolutions.
- Efficient completion of learner registrations, ensuring all required information is accurately captured.
- Support for ad-hoc projects and regional initiatives, ensuring compliance with policies.
- Office management and secretarial duties, including correspondence, communication, and payment requisitions.
Key Responsibilities
A successful CLA will be able to:
- Maintain sound administration of records and information, ensuring easy access and accuracy.
- Professionally attend, handle, and respond to stakeholder queries in a timely manner.
- Complete learner registrations accurately, with all required documentation attached and saved.
- Perform secretarial duties to support regional management and administration.
- Advise stakeholders on processes, procedures, and skill development information.
- Execute project initiatives and provide assistance for ad-hoc projects.
- Maintain efficient office management systems, aligned with secretarial best practices.
- Ensure accurate data entry into merSETA systems, maintaining up-to-date databases.
- Generate accurate reports to track performance and support office targets.
- Administer all aspects of suspension processes for apprentices and learners.
- Continuously monitor and track performance against set standards and targets.
These responsibilities require attention to detail, customer service orientation, and strong administrative competence.
Qualifications and Experience Required
Applicants should meet the following minimum requirements:
- Diploma (NQF Level 6) or equivalent in one of the following:
- Business Administration
- Office Administration
- Commerce
- Project Management
- Training and Development
- 1 year experience in Client Services Administration within a SETA environment.
- Familiarity with SETA systems and processes is advantageous.
Additional advantages include:
- Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) or equivalent in the fields above.
- 1 or more years’ experience in Client Services Administration within merSETA.
