Overview:
The Department of Employment and Labour seeks a dedicated Principal Inspector: Occupational Health & Hygiene to ensure compliance with OHS legislation and contribute to workplace safety and hygiene in the Estcourt region.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of OHS strategies and health policies
- Conduct complex health and hygiene inspections as per the inspection schedule
- Undertake research on trends in occupational health and hygiene
- Support enforcement through report writing for legal processes
Requirements:
- National Diploma (NQF 6) or Bachelor Degree (NQF 7) in Environmental Health, Occupational Health, Hygiene, Analytical Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
- Four (4) years of relevant functional experience
