Inherent Requirements of the Job

  • Ability to lift/move heavy equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to work at heights requiring the use of a stepladder.
  • The physical ability to perform heavy tasks and operate heavy-duty cleaning and household equipment.
  • Willingness to rotate across different clinics according to operational needs and requirements.

  • Ability to operate specialized machinery and equipment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will perform the following duties:

  • Responsible for thorough cleaning, including sweeping, dusting, mopping, scrubbing, polishing, refuse removal, and daily cleaning of garbage bins, toilets, sluices, and drains.
  • Clean windows and walls within the clinic facility.
  • Ensure that all cleaning equipment is thoroughly cleaned after usage and securely stored.
  • Render assistance to the supervisor with general housekeeping duties, including the control of cleaning and household equipment, care of linen, and serving patients.
  • Adhere strictly to safety measures when handling medical and general waste.
  • Attend mandated in-service training appropriate to service delivery.
