The Department of Correctional Services (DCS) is seeking eight (8) qualified and dedicated Educationists for the Free State and Northern Cape Region. This is a permanent opportunity to facilitate rehabilitation through education within the correctional system.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Matric/Grade 12 plus a recognized 4-year degree (or equivalent) in Education.
Professional Registration: Current registration with the South African Council for Educators (SACE).
Technical: Computer literacy and a valid driver’s license (Note: Driver’s license requirement is waived for applicants with disabilities).
Experience Advantage: Preference may be given to qualified applicants currently employed at Mangaung Correctional Centre; such experience is considered an added advantage.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Implement and assess educational programs and policies for offenders.
Maintain service level standards aligned with government education departments.
Manage human resources, finances, and assets within the unit.
Adhere to the Public Service Management Framework and correctional standards.
