What Does a RAF Claims Officer Do?
As a RAF Claims Officer, your core responsibilities will include:
- Performing detailed assessments of litigated claims files.
- Evaluating claims involving general damages, medical costs, loss of support, and funeral expenses.
- Assisting RAF Attorneys in litigation strategy and preparation for court proceedings.
- Managing settlements, loading court orders, and ensuring compliance with legal standards.
- Analyzing disputed claims and escalating complex matters through appropriate channels.
RAF Claims Officer Minimum Qualifications and Skills Required:
- A recognized four-year Law Degree.
- Admission as an Attorney of the High Court or Advocate in South Africa.
- At least three years of relevant experience in a claims or litigation environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of court rules, RAF processes, and legal documentation handling.
